Kids Incorporated is an after-school entrepreneurial program for at-risk 4th and 5th grade students. Through real life application, programs target core Massachusetts ELA, Math, and Technology curriculum standards.
Students participating in our Sweet Shoppe also develop interpersonal skills as they build their company. Using Google Docs, students develop customer surveys, and plan and print weekly menu offerings. Real world math and reading skills are utilized as students search for and read recipes, as well as measuring and doubling ingredients. Students in Sweet Shoppe also price products, track sales, expenses, and profits, along with maintaining sales records and developing annual financial reports.
In our Catalog Sales company, students learn to work as a team with common company goals. Students select and price products, then write and print product catalogs. Using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Google Sheets, students track sales, expenses, and profits as well as maintaining sales records and developing financial reports.
