Roles & Responsibilities

    Brian L. Forget - - Superintendent of Schools

    Purpose of Position: To provide leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services, so that each individual student enrolled in the district may be provided with a complete, valuable, meaningful, and personally rewarding education Further, to oversee and administer the use of all district facilities, property, and funds with a maximum of efficiency, and an ever-present, overriding concern for their impact upon each individual student’s education.Click here for the Superintendent's page.

    Shannon Nolan - - Director of Student Services

    Purpose of Position: To serve as the principal advisor to the Superintendent and School Committee in matters related to student services, including Special Education, Section 504, English Learner, School Health Services, Guidance and Counseling, and School to Career Services. The Director of Student Services is responsible for all the processes to ensure effective referral, qualification, and delivery of required services for students.

    Dr. Anna Bates - - Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

    Purpose of Position: To serve as the principal advisor to the Superintendent and School Committee in matters related to Curriculum Development and Adoption, Instructional Practices, and Professional Development for faculty and staff. The Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment is responsible for all Early Childhood, Extended Day Programming, Special Programs, and Civil Rights and Title IX coordination for the district.

    Dr. Richard Poor - - Director of Finance & Operations

    Purpose of Position: To serve as the principal advisor to the Superintendent and School Committee in matters related to finance, procurement, and budget and supervises human resources, finance, food service, facilities, and transportation. The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for all personnel functions including recruitment, employment, policy administration, and record keeping for all licensed and non-licensed employees.

    John Kwiatek - - Director of Technology

    Purpose of Position: To develop, lead and manage high quality technology systems and support that will provide students with a broad, balanced, and integrated learning experience, while meeting the administrative demands in place.
