Ms. Meghan Ober, Director of Guidance

Meghan Ober has been a member of the Triton Staff since 2005, where she began as a guidance counselor. Ms. Ober holds a B.A. in Psychology from Gordon College, a M.S. in Applied Educational Counseling from Northeastern University, and a C.A.G.S. degree in Educational Leadership from Salem State College.

Ms. Karen Christian, Counselor

Karen Christian has been a member of the Triton Staff since 1995.  Ms. Christian holds a B. A. in Psychology from Southern Connecticut University, a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and a C.A.G.S. in Educational Leadership from Salem State College. She is currently the Triton JV  Volleyball Coach and Freshmen Softball Coach.  She was awarded Counselor of the Year in 2003 by the Northeast Counselor’s Association.  Ms. Christian works with students in Grades 10-12 with last names A-M.

Ms. Liz Finn, Counselor

Liz Finn has been a member of the Triton Regional School District staff since 1999. She began her Triton career at Triton Middle School as a Guidance counselor where she served students, families and staff for 13 years before transitioning to Middle School Assistant Principal for four years. In 2016, Ms. Finn returned to counseling as High School Guidance Counselor, working primarily with incoming 9th grade students and the freshman team. She holds a BA in Sociology from Barnard College, a MEd in Counseling Psychology and a CAGS in Mental Health Counseling from UMass Boston.

Dr. Erik Champy, Counselor

Erik Champy became a staff member of the Triton Regional School District in 1994.  He has earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and M. Ed. in School Counseling from Salem State University.  Erik furthered his learning at Nova Southeastern University and graduated with his doctoral distinction in Curriculum and Leadership.  He has taught at Salisbury Elementary School and served as a guidance counselor at both Triton Middle and High Schools.  Among his many awards and accomplishments, Dr. Erik Champy has served as State Director for the National Education Association, President of the Massachusetts PTA, and Vice President of the Massachusetts Teachers Association.  Dr. Champy works with students in Grades 10-12 with last names H-Z.

Ms. Rebecca Piecewicz, Guidance Administrative Assistant

Ms. Piecewicz joined the guidance department in October of 2017.  A Byfield native and Triton alum, she is a long-time Viking.  Ms. Piecewicz received a B.A. in Communication Studies from UMass Amherst, and previous worked in advertising, making commercials for Dunkin’ Donuts. Ms. Piecewicz most recently worked at the Brooks School in North Andover.  Enthusiastic and helpful, we are thrilled that she is part of our team.
