Three THS Foreign Language NHS Students Selected for Creative Writing Contest

Three Triton High School Foreign Language National Honor Society members submitted work in French to the Société Honoraire de Français’ annual Creative Writing Contest.  Students selected for submission from Triton High School were: Kayla Bastolla, Abigail Booth, and Renee Dolloff.

The instructions for this years’ Creative Writing Contest, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French were as follows:

The topic for this year’s writing competition may be addressed in a variety of tenses. You may choose to respond to the questions in poetry, conversation, prose, or a combination thereof.

Vous avez à votre disposition une machine à remonter le temps.  Dans quelle époque irez-vous ? Pourquoi ?  ( You have at your disposal a machine to go back in time.  In what era will you go to? Why? )

Last year, there were 65 submissions to the annual SHF Creative Writing Contest.  This year, according to the AATF Société Honoraire de Français’ President, Abbe Guillet,  the essay review panel “had the pleasure of reading 84 delightful entries. We have submitted our rankings to L’Elan editor, Sharon Rapp, who will make the final decision and publish the winning entries later this Spring.”

Congratulations to each of the Triton High School Participants who received certificates for their original work!  We look forward to reading L’Elan this Spring,  and we hope to se their work published at that time!
