On Tuesday April 23rd, Triton High School held it’s first Vocational Job Fair for high school students, an event which will likely become an annual tradition. Spearheaded by Triton librarians Jennifer Jones and Theresa Karol, approximately 150 students in grades 9-12 were able to meet with and get information from 32 local businesses, certificate and training programs, unions, and adult education opportunities. Students were able to learn about different trades and job opportunities that they may not have known about otherwise, and some were even able to secure meetings to continue discussions about potential future job opportunities. Thank you to all the local businesses who helped make this event a success!
